Carrière & Prestaties

Mike Yarnold is een zeer gedreven en toegewijde teaching-professional.
Meer dan 27 jaar geeft hij les aan zowel beginnende als zeer ervaren golfers.

Sinds 2016 is Mike head-pro op de Koninklijke Haagsche Golf &Country Club.

In 2020 heeft Mike de status van PGA Fellow Professional verkregen voor zijn behaalde resultaten en als buitengewoon toegewijd trainer. Mike heeft aangetoond  om elke golfer, zowel junior als senior, naar een hoger niveau te brengen en hen op te leiden tot World cup spelers en/of nationaal kampioen, zoals o.a. Nationaal Nederlands Kampioene, Myrte Eikenaar.

Sind 2015 is Mike Yarnold toegetreden tot het prestigieuze team van het slecht 50 leden tellende europese team van Taylormade-Adidas golfambasadeurs.

Taylormade-adidas golfambassadeurs zijn zorgvuldig gekozen actieve clubprofessionals die meer dan gemiddelde kennis en ervaring hebben van de producten van Taylormade en deze op zeer professionele wijze weten te communiceren met hun klanten.

KONINKLIJKE HAAGSCHE GOLF & COUNTRY CLUB
(a private 18 hole club with 1200 members, top 100 in the world ranking)

2016 - Present

GROENDAEL GOLF:
(an exclusive 9 hole course with 350 members that opened in 2008)

2008 - 2016

  • Director of Golf including support for running the club from the initial opening through to today
  • Established a new golf academy including the design of all practice facilities
  • Responsible for all golf professional activities with one assistant professional including establishing and coaching teams at all age groups and running academy
  • Responsible for the organising and forming all committees

ROZENSTEIN GOLF CLUB:
(a private 18 hole club with 1200 members)

2000-2008

  • Head Professional with a staff of five including a busy and successful shop
  • Enabled the club to become a PGA establishment
  • Trained 24 competition teams from juniors to seniors and helped the seniors to become National Senior Champions
  • Supported one of the professionals to become PGA assistant of the year

RIJSWIJKSE GOLF CLUB:
(a mixed private and public club with 1000 members)

1992-2000

  • Second Professional for 2 years then Head Professional with two assistants
  • Trained 16 competition teams
  • Guided the mens team in the highest class in Holland (Hoofd Class) for four years in succession
  • Coached several young talents to become National Champions and Full Professionals
  • Was the leading force for a very busy and active corporate program 

AMSTERDAMSE GOLF CLUB:
(a private club with 950 members)

1991-1992                            

  • Moved to the Netherlands in 1991 initially part time and then decided to remain there to further career as head teaching professional
  • Learned to speak Dutch and later become fluent in the language
  • Developed a whole new range of skills in teaching people and learning from them

SANDILANDS GOLF CLUB:
(private club with 600 members)

Jan 1987-dec 1987          

  • Temporary role as a newly qualified Professional
  • Split time between teaching and working on own game 

NORTH SHORE GOLF CLUB:
(private club with 1000 members)

May 1984 - jan 1987      

  • Moved from work experience to second assistant, first assistant and then head assistant
  • Joined PGA in 1985
